A very well-run pub with friendly staff and a good selection of beers and wines.

Often runs CAMRA-supported mini beer festivals with local ales on offer.

There is a spacious and comfortable garden at the back which is great for a summer’s day drink - there are plenty of heaters for when the evenings get chilly.

If the garden is closed, the pub itself can get a bit cramped. Tends to attract a good mix of people of all ages and is never packed out with teenagers.

Decent pub grub and a bbq out the back during the summer months.

"Excellent pub. Good variety of drinks and a nice atmosphere (mixed crowd, not too young)."

"
I have been here a few times now and - Great selection of beers always on offer. Staff always friendly and on the ball. The guy who I believe runs the place always seems to know who is next to be served. Outside garden excellent."

"
This is a very nice pub where I've never experienced any trouble. The clientelle is of mixed age & the beer is good, although getting served is usually a lengthy process. Food is expensive & nothing special. The beer garden is fantastic in the summer. Staff are reserved but not unfriendly. I keep going back!"
