A very unusual real ale watering hole incongruously located in a busy shopping street in Reading town centre. The Hobgoblin is a seemingly compact little bar on first entering, however there is a small tightly-packed maze of boothed seating towards the rear. An odd little bar which is worth a detour and is particularly popular with CAMRA enthusiasts as it offers many different beers served in the traditional way. There is a small amount of outside seating on offer to the front, but there is no garden.
