This bar come restaurant suffers from a split personality. One half of it is populated by mainly under 21s, while there is also a comfortable seating area which attracts the older clientele and a ‘restaurant’ section at the back. Food is very much pub grub and the service can be hit and miss at times. Can be very quiet during the day but excessively busy at night. This venue tries to be all things to all men but falls short on all accounts. Prices are quite steep to.

"Came in here for a christmas meal Dec 2009 with a large group of 20 or so people. We had each paid a deposit in advance and pre selected our menu in advance. When we went for the meal 3 people had to cancel at short notice so we assumed they would just lose their deposit. However the manageress was trying to insist that we pay in full for their meals even though they were not present and had to cancel at short notice due to sick children or something. This would have meant an extra £60 added to our bill as the chef had already prepared 3 extra meals. We stood around and discussed it between us and we decided to insist that we would not pay. We had to resort to the 20 of us threatening to all walk out and not eat there at all. We had to clearly state that we were all prepared to walk out and lose our £5 deposit than pay for the meals we weren't having. She even offered to let us eat the 3 extra meals if we paid the £60. Why on earth would we want to eat 2 xmas meals? It was ludicrous management. We will not be booking there again."
