"Visited Prezzo for the first time last weekend, with my daughter, son-in-law & my 2 grandchildren. We had booked at the very last minute on a Saturday night. The building was beautiful. We got a very warm welcome when we arrived. The staff were attentive and helpful and were all lovely with the children. We had a fantastic meal, and left all agreeing that we had had a great evening. We will definitely be going again."

"Fabulous time. We went for my daughter's birthday party and they catered for the children, adults and grandparents perfectly - a treat for all the family!"

"I went here with three friends recently and was fairly disappointed. I am usually an avid fan of Prezzo but this branch I felt let the side down. Whilst the building was beautiful that was about the only plus. The staff were largely unhelpful and left us waiting a long time for drinks and food. When the food came is was very mediocre. My dish, which I have had at Prezzo several times before and have previously enjoyed, was inedible. It was packed full of chilli which for a creamy pasta dish left virtually no other flavours. When I mentioned this to the waiter he seemed rather defensive and claimed they always put the same amount of chilli in the dishes (which was clearly not the case!). However, when the bill came we were pleased to see that my main course had not been included. Overall I would rate this restaurant 3/10."

"Visited Immo restaurant in Wokingham recently, only to find it had changed to Prezzo. Was a little disappointed at first about the change, and then I read the menu, which kept some of our old favourites as well as adding some new dishes. The food we had was fantastic, and both adults and children enjoyed the food, drinks and service. We were able to relax outside with drinks to begin with and then move inside for what was a really enjoyable meal."

Prezzo Denmark Street review
Previous iMMO review
Wokingham’s insatiable appetite for pizza and pasta seems to know no bounds and the town now boasts two branches of Italian chain Prezzo to meet this demand.
Set in the Broad Street building formerly occupied by iMMO - a Prezzo-owned subsidiary which offered, in theory, slightly higher end food - the new branch presents a hybrid menu of traditional Prezzo dishes and a few leftovers from the iMMO days.
The end result is a successful expansion of the chain, with the added bonus of a more historical and interesting setting than the Denmark Street branch and increased capacity for al-fresco dining.
As visitors to iMMO will know, there is a medley of different rooms all tastefully renovated at the Old School House, giving the venue a more intimate feel to it than the spacious all inclusive Broad Street branch.
This is fine when the restaurant is busy, but it has always suffered from a slight atmosphere problem on quiet nights, something the Denmark Street Prezzo avoids with its one-room layout.
However, judging by our recent visits, the new Prezzo is having no trouble filling its tables and has been consistently buzzy and lively, both mid-week and at weekends with diners from all walks of life.
If you’ve visited the Denmark Street Prezzo then you won’t be disappointed by the food as standards have been maintained in Broad Street. This is by no means high-end dining, but the crowd-pleasing dishes come packed with flavour and are presented well.
The level of service is excellent and the waiting staff seemed well trained and professional, without being stuffy. They put a lot of effort into making diners feel welcome and deserve to be tipped generously.
Both the town’s Prezzos are great for a pizza or bowl of pasta on any night of the week. The only criticism is that the latest opening is yet more pizza and pasta in Wokingham, when what the town really needs are more independent venues offering a greater level of diversity in cuisines.
