A recent refurbishment has vastly improved this pub/bar which offers comfortable seats and reasonably good food which is slightly better than your average pub. Can get very busy in the evenings but is sometimes strangely dead during the day. On occasion the bar staff and their friends turn it into their own private pub, which is always a bad sign, and the music can be ridiculously loud, and the wrong type, for the clientele inside. Would benefit from a clear definition of what kind of customers they want to attract. Staff can be a bit surly and the beer and wine is very pricey.
