Although it's called a 'bar' the Spin Bar in Wokingham is effectively a club and anyone familiar with that singularly unique type of small town venue with its cheap booze and aggression will not find anything unexpected here.

A group of us had a recent Friday night out here and it really was truly awful. If you imagine an episode of the Jeremy Kyle show where they've packed several years’ worth of guests into one room then that out about sums up this place.

Entry is about £7 and the drinks are relatively cheap for a 'club'. Most people in here will have been getting themselves tanked up in the nearby JD Wetherspoon's Gig House beforehand.

The music is a simplistic mixture of poppy chart tracks and mainstream dance which seems to please the clientele immensely, but doesn't seem to make them any less willing to want a fight with anyone for the smallest perceived slight.

Even by the standards of small town clubs, the Spin Bar is pretty terrible and should be avoided at all costs. However, if you're a tattooed chav that wants a fight then you'll feel right at home.
