Taj Mahal (Indian)

Address:
25 Denmark Street
Wokingham
Berkshire
RG40 2AY
Tel: 0118 978 0169
Rating:

(Review date: April 2009)

A rather run of the mill Indian restaurant in Denmark street which is either bijous or cramped, depending on your point of view.

The menu offers the standard fare, the dishes are on the mean side and there is little warmth in the service - everything is simply very standard.

The Taj Mahal is reasonably priced - almost cheap - but then, as is so often the case, you get what you pay for, and this venue is no exception.

To sum up, the Taj Mahal serves edible food but has very little else to commend it.

"Best Indian for takeaway, great prices and really good food. The chicken Balti is a must for any curry lovers and you even got free popadoms."

"
This is our favourite Indian restaurant in Wokingham. A more traditional restaurant rather than the more modern places. Great quality food - just try any of the Tikka dishes. Friendly service, recommended."

"
We have been to this Indian restaurant several times now where the service has been excellent, and the food has been of good quality with a good choice on the menu. Lamb rogan josh is my favourite, and prices are better than other local competitive restaurants. On several occasions we have been offered a complementary drink at end of the meal, and a rose for the ladies."
