Everything about The Chesterfield smacks of quality and Birtishness. Located in the heart of The Strand where the spotless streets are lined with Ferraris and Bentleys, The Chesterfield maintains a quaintness with its hanging baskets and tasteful exterior. Once inside, the staff are refreshingly friendly and helpful, but not in an overbearing or pseudo way. The rooms are on the small side but serve their purpose adequately, there is a small but friendly bar and large, slightly austere and brightly-lit restaurant. The food is traditional and of a good standard, but nothing remarkable and the dining area suffers from a distinct lack of atmosphere. Aside from this, The Chesterfield has a lot to offer and is ideally located as a starting off point to see London. Quality and excellent service all round. Room rates start at £225 per night for a single room and £305 for a double.
The hotel’s official UK rating is 4 stars.
