WGK, as it is known, offers a “traditional menu with a contemporary upgrade” according to the venue’s website and this is reflected in the relative simplicity of its menu.

Burgers and battered fish dominate, but you will find a smattering of homemade pies and salads as well, with a pledge by the venue to source nearly all its ingredients from within the Berkshire borders.

WGK also features a “chill bar” where diners can have a drink before being seated and the venue displays a range of work by local artists on its walls. The ground floor also features an open kitchen so you can watch the chefs prepare your meal.
