If you want a proper, greasy fry-up in a proper greasy spoon, complete with well thumbed copies of The Sun and a cook named Maude with a cigarette hanging out of her mouth (well, we wish anyway!) then look no further than the Lay By Cafe. Plenty of parking outside and a decent amount of seating inside, this is the ideal place to enjoy a heart attack on a plate meal. Greasy, tasty with an authentic lorry drivers’ café ‘ambience’.
